Dr Amy Chan
Dr Amy Chan is a Senior Researcher at SoS, providing behavioural medicine and clinical pharmacy advice to SoS programmes. Amy is a registered pharmacist with the Pharmacy Council New Zealand and a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand. She completed her PhD in Pharmacy focusing on medicines adherence whilst working full-time as a clinical pharmacist at the largest district health board in New Zealand. During this time she led the clinical pharmacy service in mental health and was involved in pharmacy practice research.
She has since led on several research projects in the area of adherence and chronic disease, and digital adherence support interventions. She has over a decade of research and clinical experience, and has a clinical pharmacy specialisation in mental health.
Amy has provided consultancy to medical research organisations, non-government organisations and pharmaceutical companies, and has been involved in developing patient-centric programmes in a variety of healthcare settings. She has skills in both qualitative and quantitative research approaches and has experience in human-centred design.
